Day 1: Sorong Airport - Mioskon

First day of cruise in the Raja Ampat archipelago

Arrival at Sorong airport in West Papua on the island of New Guinea.  You are met by your driver who drives you to the port of the city where you board a speedboat for Waisai. Arriving in Waisai, you board your beautiful Phinisi, a traditional wooden boat that takes you to the most beautiful parts of the Raja Ampat archipelago. You raise the anchor and sail to the calm waters of the Blue Magic site, for a test dive or a swim for non-divers. The Blue Magic Seamount at a depth of 8 meters is perfect to get back into the swing of things. You can see rays, sharks, tunas, barracudas. On the slopes of the reef is a superb variety of sea fans, sponges, soft and hard corals. At sunset, you enjoy a superb dinner while watching the ballet of bats waking up in the distance.

Day 2: Mioskon - Misool

An American hunter underwater

Today you sail in the waters of Batanta Island. You discover dozens of idyllic islets with white sand. With your masks, fins and snorkels, you enjoy the underwater show and swim among the manta rays. Divers can enjoy the discovery of a wreck of an American fighter plane from the Second World War. Wrecked in October 1944 with 7 survivors on board, the plane is located between 26 and 33 meters deep. It is easy to access and its exploration is quite different from the shipwrecks usually visited by divers. The adventure then continues on land with an excursion to the beautiful Batanta waterfalls. Mooring for the night in a quiet bay on Misool Island.

Day 3: Misool - Daram Islands

The underwater wonders of the Daram Islands

Located east of Misool, the Daram Islands offer an incredible underwater ecosystem thanks to a strict no-fishing policy in the area.  Divers have the chance to discover huge expanses of sea fans and soft corals, as well as barracudas, colorful nudibranchs, lionfish, sand perch, seahorses and hundreds of other underwater wonders. You can dive at Andiamo or Candy Store, two of the most famous dive sites in the archipelago. For non-divers, take advantage of the canoes available on board for a trip to the paradise coasts of the Daram Islands, which are also a sanctuary for endangered turtles.

Day 4: Daram islands - South East of Misool

The best dive of your life

Today you head to the islands south east of Misool. You prepare to dive around the famous sites of Boo Window and Magic Mountain. These dive sites have the highest concentration of biodiversity in the world due to a strict conservation policy. At a depth of only 6 meters, you discover an impressive coral garden that was formed on an underwater mountain plateau. You descend along the ridge and cross the path of giant black manta rays, napoleons, and hundreds of other large and small fish that abound before your eyes. The scenery is as lush above as it is below the water. You return from this dive subjugated.

Day 5: South East Misool - Wayil Islands

The love lake of the Wayil Islands and night diving

Direction Wayil Islands and their incredible turquoise blue lagoons punctuated by karst islets. You climb the few steps that lead to the top of an islet offering a breathtaking panorama of the "love lake" just below. This heart-shaped lagoon is surrounded and protected by a coral reef. Divers get an eyeful of Raja Ampat's most emblematic sites: Wedding cake and its rock carved by the waves in the shape of a -yes- wedding cake which shelters coral bushes, turtles and carpet sharks; the 4 kings and its 4 reefs with a thousand colors or Neptune's fan channel and its giant sea fans. Non-divers can kayak in the tranquility of the beautiful landscape and enjoy the deserted beaches of the surrounding islets. You end your day with a night dive!

Day 6: Wayil Island - Balbulol & Farondi Islands

North east of Misool, the islands of Balbulol and Farondi are a labyrinth of lagoons punctuated by karsts similar to majestic pyramids. Strolling in them is incredible. The biodiversity in these lagoons is also incredible. Multicolored fish and phosphorescent corals in clear and shallow waters. Some lagoons are even home to thousands of stingless jellyfish for a very intimidating dive! Back on the boat, look up and admire the many rare birds flying over the karsts. These islands also offer a breathtaking sunset show that you can admire from the panoramic deck.

Day 7: Balbulol & Farondi Islands - Piaynemo Island

Mythical dives and the star-shaped lagoon

On the program today, diving on 3 world famous sites: Keruo Channel, Galaxy and Melissa's Garden! You discover the richest and most impressive coral gardens on the planet. They are home to a dense marine life. These islands are also the perfect place for short kayak trips to discover hidden pools and to put on your flippers and explore the shallow waters. You can also take the opportunity to climb the hill that leads to the breathtaking view of the star lagoon with its hundreds of limestone rocks.

Day 8: Piaynemo Island - Kawe Island & Aljuy Bay

Kawe Island is often the best place to observe manta rays up close. You make a first dive at Eagle Rock, whose name refers to the eagles flying over the karsts of the site. Underwater you cross the path of reef sharks, humpback parrot fish, barracudas and carpet sharks. You continue this beautiful day with the discovery of Aljuy Bay where you can learn more about the secrets of pearl farming and seeding. At the end of the day, the more adventurous take a flashlight for a night dive in the quiet waters of the bay.

Day 9: Kawe Island & Aljuy Bay - Wayag

Crossing the Equator and entering the Northern Hemisphere!

Today you join the Northern Hemisphere by crossing the Equator! You reach the Wayag archipelago with its hundreds of limestone islets shaped like mushrooms in turquoise water. You still get a lot of eye candy today while snorkeling, and you probably meet manta rays and reef sharks. You climb the high steep hill of Mount Pindito. At 760 meters high, its ascent is somewhat difficult, but the effort is worth it. The view is incredible. You finish this day by swimming around the sloping reefs of the Figure 8 rock and enjoy a pleasant moment on the nearby heavenly sandy beach.

Day 10: Wayag - Yangeffo

You moor not far from the island of Yangeffo and take the kayak for an excursion in its mangroves. The change of scenery is magnificent. The sheltered bay offers a contrast between the lush mangroves and the crystal-clear waters that is breathtaking. This area is home to as many birds as fish. Colorful corals grow among the tree roots, making it a unique place for snorkeling. The area also offers diving opportunities at amazingly biodiverse and dynamic sites such as Citrus and Mangrove Ridge.

Day 11: Yangeffo - Dampier Strait

Arborek village and encounter with the walking shark

You dock near the village of Arborek, famous for its snorkeling sites and local crafts. Visit the village and then jump into the water under the watchful eyes of local children for a world class dive. Then head to pelagic rich waters like Sardine Reef and Cape Kri. In the evening, a fantastic night dive at Batu Lima is planned. The lucky ones might spot the walking shark, which gets its name from the way it uses its fins to move around.

Day 12: Damper Strait – Sorong

Last day of the cruise, return to Sorong

After a delicious last breakfast, you head to the port of Waisai. Your cruise in Raja Ampat comes to an end. You say goodbye to the crew who helped make this cruise an unforgettable experience, and then you are transferred by speedboat from Waisai to the port of Sorong. Upon arrival in Sorong, you are driven to your hotel or to the airport. You finish this cruise trip in Raja Ampat, with a head full of exceptional memories.
