Komodo is both an island in Indonesia and a national park of 29 volcanic islands located a few miles from Flores. Listed as a priority conservation area worldwide, the Komodo archipelago is famous for its beautiful landscapes where barren hills contrast with turquoise waters rich in coral and fish. But the Komodo Islands are also famous for their giant lizards, known as Komodo dragons. Estimated at around 2,500 in the archipelago, the Komodo dragons live mainly on the island of Rinca, where there are 1,700 of them!
We will take you on a Komodo cruise to discover the islands of the National Park on a daily basis during excursions and hikes. Masks and snorkels will be your best travel accessories to admire the beautiful corals, the thousands of colorful fish and to swim with manta rays and turtles.
For scuba diving lovers, the best time to discover the archipelago's underwater gems is from March to October.
