BEFORE BOOKING

1. YOUR PRIVATE TOUR
- How do I get more information about a trip?
You can send us a travel request online to get more information about the trip(s) you are interested in. You can also contact us directly by email to send us your questions.

- Who accompanies me during my private trip?
Our private tours are always offered with one or more private driver(s) who accompany you during your entire tour.
You are also accompanied by a local English-speaking tour guide for part or all of your trip, depending on the itinerary chosen.

- Are international flights included?
International flights are not included in our trips for various reasons:
- Insurance for air flights is very often linked to the method of payment (CB)
- We do not benefit from any preferential rate at this level and you would not benefit from any financial advantage to book your flights through us.
We are still available to help and advise you on your flight and airline options to Indonesia.

- How do I know which hotels are included in the trip?
The hotels included in our Papua trips are listed online.
In the programs of other destinations where hotels are not explicitly mentioned, we try to work as much as possible with a selection of small hotels and to promote homestays. If sometimes the comfort can be rudimentary, it is to live an even more special and unforgettable experience.
Once your travel request is sent, we will get back to you by email with your complete travel program where the hotels included are mentioned. Reservations are subject to availability between the time you submit your travel request and your reservation. If any of the proposed hotels are no longer available, we will suggest new options.

- Are private trips suitable for families?
Our private trips are adapted to families who have a taste for adventure. However, they can be tailored to your individual needs.
For families with young children, be aware that sanitary facilities are limited in Eastern Indonesia. It can be complicated to find the products and medicines necessary for the well-being of your child. It is therefore very important to anticipate your child's needs before embarking on a trip to Eastern Indonesia.

- I am traveling alone, do I have to pay extra?
Our rates are adapted according to the number of travelers. For each program, the travel rates are mentioned at the bottom of the page, especially for people traveling alone.
In all cases, we confirm with you the price of the trip at the time of sending your program by email following your online travel request.

- Are airport transfers included?
Yes, airport transfers are always included in our rates.
You are picked up from the airport by your private driver. And he will accompany you every day until the day of your departure.

- Are tips included in the price?
Tips are not included in the price of the trip and are at your discretion. We can advise our travelers on the tip ranges generally applied by type of service.
Outside of Bali, tipping is not common in Indonesia. However, if you appreciate the quality of service of your driver or guide, tipping is a very special sign of appreciation.

BEFORE BOOKING

2. YOUR GROUP TOUR
- How many travelers can join a group tour?
A maximum of 10 travelers can join our group trips in order to keep the respect of the places and people visited. In a small group, the quality of the exchanges and encounters is better. This also favors a greater sharing and a better immersion during extraordinary experiences. We also wish to encourage a team spirit when traveling in small groups.

- Can I extend my stay before or after a group trip?
It is quite possible to combine your group trip with a private extension. Whether you want to stay longer in Papua, or discover another nearby island, please let us know about your travel plans.
As most flights to Eastern Indonesia transit through Bali, we also offer a program of discovery travel to Bali.

- Who are my travel companions?
For reasons of confidentiality, we do not reveal the identity of the participants in group trips. Thus, you will discover your travel friends the day of your arrival.
Please note that our group tours are open to travelers of all backgrounds. The main language used is English. It is therefore not surprising to have multicultural groups with very often travelers coming from Europe, North America or Australia.

- If I am traveling alone on a group trip, do I have to pay extra?
Single travelers are required to pay the supplement listed at the bottom of each program for a private room and tent. However, if the solo traveler is willing to share a room and tent with another traveler then this supplement can potentially be avoided. If at the time of your reservation no other single traveler has already declared their willingness to share accommodations, then we will collect your deposit based on the price of the trip with the single traveler supplement. If a new registrant later declares his or her willingness to share a room and tent with you, we will inform you and adjust your balance to be paid on the basis of the trip price without supplement.

- Is there a minimum age to participate in a group trip?
18 years old is the minimum age to participate in one of our group trips.

- How do I get more information about a group trip?
You can send us a travel request online to get more information about the trip(s) you are interested in. You can also contact us directly by email to send us your questions.

BEFORE DEPARTURE

- Is travel insurance included in the price?
Our agency does not offer travel insurance and it is your responsibility to take out repatriation insurance (and mountain rescue for trekking tours or sea rescue for diving trips). Take with you a copy of your contract with the details of your personal insurance. You are responsible for declaring any damage that may occur during your trip to your insurance company.

- How to obtain a visa for Indonesia?
The requirements for a tourist visa for Indonesia vary depending on your nationality. Most Western countries benefit from a fee exemption for a tourist visa limited to 30 days on the Indonesian territory. Beware, beyond 30 days, this overrun will cost you the modest sum of 60€ per day and per person.
This free visa is issued upon arrival at the airport in Indonesia.
We invite you to visit the Wonderful Indonesia page for the latest news and conditions to obtain an entry visa to Indonesia:
https://www.indonesia.travel/gb/en/general-information/visa-immigration
If you travel to Papua, our agency takes care of the steps to obtain a visa to enter the Papuan territory called Surat jalan before your trip. This avoids many hours or even days of waiting at the time of your arrival in Papua.

- What vaccinations should I get before going to Indonesia?
Before leaving for Indonesia, it is strongly recommended to update your vaccines, especially the one for hepatitis A and the diphtheria-tetanus-polio vaccine (DTP).
Your doctor is the best specialist in this area and will be able to advise you on any additional vaccines recommended before your trip to Indonesia.

- What currency is used in Indonesia?
The Indonesian currency is called rupiah (IDR). It is a rather volatile currency, generally fluctuating between 1€ = 14 000 IDR at the lowest, for 1€ = 17 500 IDR at the highest.
If you want to know the exact value of the Indonesian rupiah in real time, please visit the XE website:

Our private trips are all accompanied by a local English-speaking guide.
- What are the amenities during the treks?

For all our trekking trips, only tents, the necessary camping equipment for our mobile kitchen and of course water and food are provided.

- Is snorkeling equipment provided?
It is usually possible to request snorkeling equipment on your snorkeling cruises and expeditions. However, we strongly recommend that you bring your own equipment to ensure the best possible comfort during your marine adventure.
